Flowers From Friends
Flowers from Friends is a compassionate community initiative dedicated to providing the gift of flowers to individuals who are dying or recently bereaved, as well as to those arranging funerals who may not have access to, or the financial means for floral tributes such as casket sprays or decorative arrangements.
Flowers from Friends provides a dignified service at no cost to recipients, and an opportunity for the community to participate in shared acts of kindness and giving through donating flowers.
About Flowers From Friends
Local growers, gardeners and businesses can express an interest in joining the Flowers from Friends Register.
Requests for flowers are made via email or directly to the Coordinator via phone.

When the Coordinator receives a request for flowers, participants are contacted via text or WhatsApp message with the details of what types of blooms are required and a time frame for collection.

If participants have suitable flowers or foliage to donate, a collection time and location will be organised.
Donated flowers are combined, arranged and distributed by the Coordinator or a Highlands Volunteer.
Confidentiality of the recipients will be maintained at all times.
